This isn't just a story - it's your life!
First Features was started by Katy Weitz in May 2005 to get the best deal for those with amazing real-life stories to tell.
Over ten years, Katy worked for a variety of national newspapers - including The Sun, The Mirror, The Sunday Mirror, The People and The Express - and for a number of magazines. In her time on Fleet Street, she came to recognise that frequently, those with a good story failed to get the best deal.
Handling interest from national publications is not the easiest thing. In a fiercely competitive market, many people without press know-how find their experience leaves them feeling used or misrepresented.
We are interested in helping you and listening to what you have to say so that your story is told in the right way. We want it to be printed in the right place - and we want you to be paid what it is worth.
By representing your interest, we take away the hard and intimidating work of dealing with editors - so all you have to do is tell your story.
And because we are not connected to any one publication, we can shop around for the right deal.
We believe everyone has a remarkable tale to tell - it's a question of getting the right person to listen.
Why First Features?
Because we have the highest possible standards
First Features is a proud member of NAPA – the National Association of Press Agencies. Set up in 1982, the Association draws its membership from the premier agencies providing news and picture coverage of every town and city in the UK, ensuring professional standards of conduct throughout the industry.
Not everyone is allowed to become a member of NAPA – you have to demonstrate that you are both reliable and trustworthy. So as well as the PCC Code of Conduct, First Features also subscribes to the NAPA Code of Conduct, which underpins our ethical and professional approach to all stories.
If you have any complaints or simply want more information, visit NAPA at www.napa.org.uk.
